Ujjain Puja Seva

Harsiddhi Mata Mandir, Ujjain

One of the 51 Shakti Peeths and among the most revered Devi temples of Ujjain, Shri Harsiddhi Mata Mandir stands a short walk from Mahakaleshwar. Devotees come for Maa Harsiddhi’s darshan, the evening aarti and the glowing Deep Stambhas.

Where the Elbow of Devi Sati Fell

According to the Shakti Peeth tradition, Lord Shiva carried the body of Devi Sati across the worlds in grief, and Lord Vishnu divided it with his Sudarshan Chakra. The places where the parts fell became Shakti Peeths. Ujjain is revered as the place where Devi Sati’s elbow fell, and here the Mother is worshipped as Maa Harsiddhi, the giver of success and fulfilment.
